To make sure your custom stair gate fits perfectly and matches your existing spindles, we just need a few simple measurements. Here’s how to take them:
Spindle Style & Size
Take a photo of your staircase showing the spindles clearly (side-on is ideal).
Measure the width of one spindle (in mm).
Opening Width
Measure the full width of the gap where the gate will be fitted — from wall to post, post to post, or wall to wall.
Measure at the bottom, and again about halfway up, just in case there’s a slight difference.
Height You’d Like the Gate
Tell us roughly how tall you’d like the gate to be (standard is around 900-800cm, but we can customize to suit).
